I have attempted here to document the upholstering of the American male, to visually express the feminization and domestication of the modern man. For real though, this photograph was not set-up or staged. Sometimes everything lines up.

ReplyDeletei suppose that if i could do it all over again, i would stick to domestication, or my preferred term, "upholsterization" but what's done is done. may i be spared from the wrath of the feminists.
ReplyDeleteand though i don't think (as at-times advantageous of a format as it is) the comments section of this blog is the way to do it, my mom was arguing that american masculinity has adopting and is adopting territories that were recently considered feminization. this idea, though i'm not sure how much i buy into it, is what i was getting at.
